You make me better boy...

You make me better boy...

She said baby don't leave
Be home, stay close, be close to me
Boy don't be gone
He said, baby you know
I gotta run, I gotta go
I won't be long, girl, I won't be long....

365. Day 78.

Five fun facts.

1. I like my t-shirt, it says, New York New York. Wish I was actually in NYC; I have researched it, and researched it, and there just doesn't seem to be a way I can get a job and work and live there... Unless I marry an American or work in a summer camp, and I don't think I am prepared to do either as yet.

2. I went to Olive Garden today with Jessica and Areal, I think I have come to the conclusion, I just don't like it... Except their salad, that shit is goooood.

3. I count on my hands every single day how many months or weeks I have left in Calgary, it both excites me and scares me, my best friends live here now, how am I going to leave them behind?

4. I wish I could buy a car, pack it with all my stuff and drive it through the states to Mexico... But I don't think I could do that on my own!! There are 3 places I MUST go in my next travels - BC (Victoria & Vancouver) San Diego (& Disneyland!) and Mexico! Anywhere else I should visit?

5. I don't know what to do with the rest of my night.... Sooo bored right now.

Baby

Baby

Okay, so here's the latest scan of our baby, sucking his thumb. Yes, 'his'. We've found out that we're having a boy.

While this might be cause for celebration, we both really, really, really really wanted a girl. It's impossible to explain why without knowing us properly, but we have issues. We'd worked ourselves into a daughter frame of mind, and when we found out we were having a son, it was like something was wrenched out of us. It's like somebody has died, even though the 'somebody' in question never existed beyond our minds.

At present we're mourning the loss of what we were desperately wishing for. It's better that it's happening now because we've got four and a half months to adjust our vertical holds which will make it better for baby when he's born.

It's a terrible, awful thing that finding out you have a perfect, healthy baby leads to a spiral of despair. I feel so guilty that I'm upset because of this beautiful, helpless little person.

Please, before anyone comments with "You'll feel better when he's born" - I know this deep down, but we're working through our emotions right this second and are sick of being told this. Like I said - we have complex issues...
